Dear Friends,

I would like to send greetings to you from MCF Africa. The year started
with various challenges and this far, we have witnessed a great
breakthrough through prayers. I am overwhelmed about what has been going
on over the last few months that many people have lost their lives
through one of the worst droughts in the region in over 60 years.
Livestock have been swept and people have been
dying. The vegetation has been drying and especially in the North and
Eastern provinces where the drought is felt the most.
The media has been highlighting the situations that our country men are
facing. The most devastated area is in Somalia where thousands of people
have crossed the Kenya - Somalia boarder into Dadaab to seek for refuge.
Many children are malnutritioned and have lost their lives.

Our country men along Lake Turkana and down to the Eastern province
where MCF is located are not spared either. The children from schools
from the surrounding community in MCF Ndalani are severely affected
hence concentration in school is very low as they are hungry.
At the moment, we are overstretched by the number of children that need
food, mothers and the aged within our communities that are devastated.
The water in our river has gone down to about 30% of the normal volume
and thus, if it does not rain, there will be no water in our river.
Through our humanitarian heart of service to the poor, I feel the need
to take action and help and assist the situation and especially within
the surrounding communities, and those who are in great need. MCF also
wants to venture in the Northern Kenya, around Lake Turkana and its
environs.

The price of food has gone so high that it is double and in some cases
triple what we spent last year in December. The inflation has gone up
to 15.3% in August 2011 from 5% in December 2010 which has worsenet the situation.

I have been forced by circumstances beyond my control to share with you
this great need of all times which is a major catastrophe.

Please join us through prayer and financial support and be part of the change
in saving lives.

Wishing you blessings.

Yours sincerely,
Dr.Ev.C.M.MULLI
